Boring pedantic point

At the risk of being pointed out as a propellor-head, can I humbly propose
a convention to the group and thus the industry at large.

There is the potential for confusion between 2K the da Vinci product and 2k
the de facto digital film standard. The SI norm is that k when it refers to
a thousand of something should be lower case (SI unit abbreviations are
always lower case unless derived from someone's name). So, if we write 2
upper case K for the da Vinci product, which I think is their preferred
usage (Joe will shout if it is not) and 2 lower case k for the generic data
format, at least in writing we should be clear.

Please feel free to tell me to mind my own business.

Dick
