Electronic Cinema

My .02$Cdn:
Just got home from a screening of the IMAX "Magic of Flight". Maybe
I'm just into these type of things, but I loved being able to see the
chipped paint on the rivet heads holding the access panels onto the Blue
Angels' F18's as they did their High-G, High AoA, High-Velocity everything.
If the whole argument is based strictly on technical specs-- we've lost our
art. I know that an IMAX theatre may be even a little more elaborate than a
Video projection theatre, and it certainly ain't the Bijou down on Main...
but its still the emulsion image... and unbeatable.
