SMPTE STUFF

I see Chris Bacon has issued a nice report on the NY SMPTE meeting.
I would like to mention that many local SMPTE sections maintain their
own web sites with upcoming meeting information (and some, like ours,
with past meeting summaries). If you are interested, you should go
to the SMPTE main page (www.smpte.org) and follow the links to the
local sections. They will take you to the privately run local sites
or default to local areas on the main site. In case you care, the
NY page is at http://www.mte.com/nysmpte/. [watch out- many of the
SMPTE-maintained local section info is out of date... be sure you
go to the actual locally-run websites when available.]
