It seems that Sony only wants to sell DVR-2100s with off
speed kits. A LA company called Quad 1 has a kit that I
think has been used by some West Coast companies. It is
reasonably priced and claims to keep the DVW-A500P /
DVW-500P
working normally for 25 frame 625.

I have only heard about the kit and seen the flyer on it.
Alan Davis at Digital Synergy in LA is one of the reps for
the product. Art Mayrose is behind it and he has a good
reputation with vtrs in LA. That is about all I know about
it. Does some other company offer an offspeed kit?

I like the 24 frame PAL concept and having more than Sony
D1s and Ampex DCT capable of doing the offspeed 24 frame
trick can only be good for the concept. I do not know why
Sony has not offered a kit.

Well....
it seems that no one at Sony is aware that
a pal digibeta can be modified to play back
at 24 fps!

So how did you guys come up with this?

Please feel free to quote exactly which page
of the manual lists the aforementioned mod.
