RE: Sony telecine

Jim Mendrala rightly points out that, in the not too distant future, there
will be lots of "television" standards, and that telecines will have to fit
into that environment. That was not really my question, though.

The statement from Stuart was that Sony was planning a "multi-resolution"
telecine, and I really wanted to know if it really was going to be a
multi-resolution telecine or - like Spirit - a high definition telecine
with output resolution converters to get other standards. I suspect that
this is the case (it was how it was presented at IBC last year), but I
wanted to make sure that there was not a major development which I had
missed.
