magazine survey OK here?

I've been asked by a few writers who are working on magazine and
web articles if they can ask questions of this group. Historically
this has been OK with most everyone here-- it gives us a chance to air
out opinions and debunk myths-- but the questions now may seem more
like mini-surveys, so I'd like to know if anyone has strong objections
to having such postings on the TIG mailinglist.

thanks.
