     It's not necessarily a hard job, but rather a challenging one.  As a
colorist
you have to juggle the technical aspects of the job as well as the
subjective.
You also in a sense be an interpreter to get the look that the client is
after.
That's where the real fun is.  This is where you can have a positive impact
on the
final product.
     Another aspect that makes film transfer challenging, is keeping up with
technology and trends in the business.  As you can tell from this forum there
is a constant flux of new equipment and techniques coming out that are
important to stay abreast of.
     It's the kind of job, that what you put into it is what you get out of
it.
