Anyone know anything about a color corrector known as a Wiz or Whiz?

Someone is trying to get me to take one in a package, and seems to feel
that
it adds value to that package... (last time that happened I ended up with
a
Bosch/Corporate FRP-60!).

Is it something that might be useful to some school somewhere, or is it a
cruel and useless device?

Jeff "uh, um, should I take a Whiz?" Kreines
