The "ideal" grading system

Here are some of the suggestions you have been emailing to me for your wi=
sh list for a much better grading system.
They are not aimed at either Pandora or da Vinci just colourists wishes =
for anyone to consider.

1/ More stable systems
2/ Better Secondary colour correction incorporating Auto selection of Co=
lour/Luminance.
3/ If processing ever got big enough and someone could write the program=
,
auto shape tracking!=20
4/ Tracking of objects/colour/luminance through light changes.
Soft/hard edges.
5/ Auto technical one lights, like the old auto colour grade (remember?)=

6/ Maybe head up display, "auto think" configure for clients who don't
know what they want, and need to experiment.=20
7/ How about a next generation Digital Dubner?....Simple, boring, mostly=

reliable, cheap, quick,...It will probably never happen. =20
8/ -Grading list should be expandable up to 10 lists with packs of sub l=
ists you
could open and close according to the level of the corrector you are usin=
g.
TK PRIM,TK SEC, DV PRIM,DV SEC, WINDOWS, MASTER HLS, KILOVECTORS, etc...
9/ -On the hardware side, everyone would love to have 10 windows with sha=
pe
drawing and tracking capability, softness independent on each point of th=
e
shape, the Kscope possibilities in each window, at least 5 points on the =
gamma
curve (black thresh, white clip plus 3 points), all of this real time !
10/ embedded data disk drive capable of recording video
11/ preset plug in visual fx software like kai power tools
12/ resolution independence
13/ black and white film colourisation
14/ improved interface using pen and tablet (like Flame/Henry)..........=

These are all cut and pasted quotes from email so may read strangely!!
Keep your suggestions rolling in and I will post them in confidence....
PS any comments from engineers regarding diagnostics and support functio=
ns?
Cheers
