Pix monitors on a film set




Tell the client to shoot the set with a camera that employs a variable
angle shutter, so the camera operator can match the size of the bar so
that it is invisible.

The Panavision cameras have this available as an option.  In the low budget
16mm world, you can find old Cine-Kodak cameras intended for telecine work
which use a five-bladed shutter that produces no visible flicker from an
NTSC video source in the shot.

Fix it in the shoot and you won't have to worry about the problem in
the transfer, because it's going to be much too late then.
