Of course the problem with this is that any zoom lenses will track
off-center, since the optical center of the lens is not the center of the
16mm frame, but the S16 frame.  Most cameras permit quick re-centering of the
lens mount (a 1mm shift) and it is equally common to find the use of single
perf film, S16 aperture, but lenses centered over 16.  Depending on the lens
the image may appear to be S16 (longer lenses easily cover the larger
aperture, shorther ones don't) though it is not!
